Originally born in Michigan, Jim grew up in the Bay Area of California, where he was a drummer with his high school marching band.  After a career in restaurant management, he turned his attention to building a business in real estate to spend better quality time with his family.  After obtaining his real estate salesperson license in 2005, Jim focused on serving his community by becoming a property manager.
